The team at The Wells Practice are fully qualified Osteopaths. Training is undertaken at degree level and students follow a four or five-year degree course, combining academic and clinical, ‘hands-on’, work. Qualifications generally take the form of a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Osteopathy. A qualification in osteopathy includes anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, nutrition, and biomechanics, as well as at least 1,000 hours of clinical training experience with patients. Only students who meet the Osteopathic Practice Standards are able to graduate with a recognised qualification enabling them to apply for registration with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC)

Francis Johnson is a registered osteopath with the General Osteopathic Council (GOSc), having received his degree at the British School of Osteopathy.
With 15 years experience in practice, he treats a broad cross-section of patients, with problems ranging from the subtlest to the most mechanical. He specialises in the gentler side of osteopathy, listening to and working with the body's needs, letting it guide the course and type of treatment, rather than impose an approach upon it. Working holistically he considers the patients life as a whole and how all aspects pertain to the problem, addressing each accordingly. Antonia George-Sigtryggsdottir Bsc (Hons) Ost.
Antonia is a Manual Medicine Practitioner specialising in Myofascial release, stress/psychosomatic pain and energy medicine. She is also a Massage Therapist and Coach. She has a passion for health and wellbeing and believes that optimal health and happiness come from within.
Antonia qualified from The British School of Osteopathy in 2012 and prior to that she completed a 3 year program in Massage Therapy in Iceland as well as several courses in different Holistic therapies. After graduating as an Osteopath she continued to regularly further and update her education by completing numerous courses including a postgraduate course in Cranial Osteopathy and several courses in Positive Psychology.
In recent years she has gained specific experience in working with the elderly and their needs. Antonia is passionate about positive psychology, health and the mind-body connection. She specialises in treating stress related problems and chronic pain where she looks for the root of the problem.....read more
